Title: Bimini top quick relase pins???
Post by: mboy on July 11, 2007, 01:29:52 PM
Can the pins be used in a regualr deck mount (that uses the screw in type pins) or do I need the deck mounts to go along with the pins?

If so, anyone know where I can get a piar cheaply?

Thanks.

Hi Mboy,

I am sorry but I do not understand the question or the piece you are referring to.

I may have the parts you need so please clarify ...

Thanks,

Capt. Ed

There are 2 types - one with a folding t-bar at the end that will work with almost any mount, including the screw type.  The other uses a retractable ball bearing. That one wont fit a threaded mount.
I converted to the t-bar style and love it. No corrosion, quick on-off. West has em, I think they cost me around $12 a piece a few years ago.

Actually, something like these:

That will replace the screws that keep the bimin attached to the deck mounts.
