had the good pleasure to be invited up to fish the Salmon River and lake Ontario over the W/E for Salmon with Rick(still running)we got up there Friday evening close to 9 and crashed early in his camper and up at 4 and out on the river at 5:30 with his boat and anchored and ready to try for them at the legal hour,a half hour before sunrise.first time for me Salmon fishing,Rick had all the gear to fish for them.we each had run offs and Rick able to get one that was foul hooked and had to be released.myself had 3 on but never able to get one in the boat, bite totally dies by 9 and Rick listening to the VHF and no action on the lake but he heads out anyway and we try some trolling on the lake with no success, back in by 11 and back to the RV,some lunch and a nap by each of us and back on the river at 5 and fishing to a half hour after sunset with no hook ups.out again Sunday morning at 5:30 on the river and fishing a half hour before sunrise and I get one on that is lost, again the bite dies and we are out of there before 9.great experience for me having never fished for them, one powerful fish when they run, never got one in but got to play with them.headed for home at around 11:30 and home by 3:30,able to relax and enjoy the Jets beating the Pats.thanks Rick for a great weekend even though no meat to bring home we each put in a great effort. slt Kez

Love it up there. I have friends who bought a cabin up there. The Salmon river runs thru their backyard.
Love the run up to Pulaski NY, draging a 25' Carolina Skiff makes it worth it, once your there. 8-9 hour ride
