Title: Keeping Your Boat Clean Secret......
Post by: Angela Rose Charters on July 13, 2007, 05:23:21 PM
As some of you know, I am a hard ass on keeping my boat clean. My deckhands are just shy of killing me when it's time to clean the pig down... I came up with a pretty good weapon and thought I would share it with you guys....and no I don't have stock in either item...

Dobi Pads.. Walmart / Target / About a buck a pad..

Starbrite Black Streak Remove / Any marine store.. 11 bucks a bottle

Let the BSR soak for a minute or two and scrub scrub scrub

Thanks for that info.  I have a non-skid deck and that is tuff to keep clean.  I will definately have to give this a try.

soft scrub toilet bowl and tub cleaner.. It works great and its cheaper.. For the $1.29 gallon of bleach!!  boat shine bright white.. after that normal boat soap to remove all the bleach!!..

I have used non skid cleaner from West marine but $8 a bottle I use a boat per wash. work great but so does bleach!!

Are these cleaners safe? Whatever is used is going to end up in the water. What are safe products to use that are not going to harm or pollute the water?

me and the boys use five gallon bucket, water soft scrub and some bleach.( if we dont have that , we use what ever I can get from Moms Kitchen). Can also use Pine Sol or Mr Clean, or Simple Green. However, they all will remove some wax too.
