while fishing Barnegat Inlet with Poncho, a moron in a 15' Wellcraft bowrider was drifting the inlet with two other people on board. the current was very fast, and these guys were very close to the rocks. when I shouted at them to wake up and look behind them, they jumped, and one tried to start the engine, and couldn't. so he grabs his anchor and throws it, jumps off the bow onto a tiny green slimy boulder to stop his tub from hitting the rocks. he then jumps back on, and his buddy gets the engine started and he yells at the other one to "gun it". so they floor it,but forget they have the anchor out....which is no big deal anyway, because the anchor line wasn't tied down. he lost his anchor, but by some miracle saved his boat and his life. 5 minutes later he's on the other side of the inlet drifting again. what a moron.
