This looks like a winner. I wish this had been released before I bought a 500 yard spool of white for my new Trinidad. fcp

As of now we are not carrying this line. I will probably call one of the buyers this week and see if I can convince them to give it a try in some of the stores.

Good stuff.

If they need someone to test it for them, I'm the man for that. TT^

i'm sorry but SUFFIX is the way to go

I have had the opportunity to try many different brands and formulations of braided lines over the past ten years or so. For casting, in the higher pound tests, I like Sufix better as well.
By higher pound tests, I'm talking 40 lb. and up. The difference in the line (compared to Power Pro) is even more noticeable in the 50 lb. and up. 30 lb test and down, they are pretty much the same.
Having said that, other than for casting, (although I like the smoothness of it) I don't see any real big advantage with Sufix over Power Pro. For jigging and bottom fishing I will usually buy whichever line I can get a better deal on.

I agree.
...and what is everyone using the depth coded line for?.......besides tuna jigging that is
-
I understand what u mean Bob...when talking about 30lb line but I use 50lb Suffix on both my surf and boat rods now...power pro does not compare in that lb test in opinion and I believe the 50lb suffix is a great all around braid line to use. IMO

Install it on a trolling outfit and you will know how much line you have out so you can determine depth of your lure. t^

I can see where its usefulness in that application works

For those who are curious.

Rich do you carry and ocean master reels at the shop?

I picked up a bulk spool of color metered braid put out by Western Filaments (which I'm pretty sure makes line branded under many other names) and I'll say the metering is a nice feature, especially when trolling.. As far as brands, I have not tried the Saltaiga, but have used PP and spiderwire, JB, and lots of other braids, and honestly have'nt met one yet that I hated or performed that much different from all the others.. other than obvious differences between open braids and fused/coated lines like Fireline, they all fish pretty much the same to me chrz
