Here is the Question. I would like to run some fishing trips that would be Fundraisers for the RFA-NJ Chapter. But before I move forward with them is there an interest in attending them?
I would attend them
I would not attend them

Yes I would. t^

It obviously depends on the day. During the summer I am out in my boat 4-5-6 times a week. If I had enough advise notice I would make sure I did not plan a trip on my boat for that day. So, put me down for a yes.
Also, we have run trips in the past that benefited the RFA and we had a decent turn out. t^

I might be interested, depending on of course the fare, date, species, as well as how much money I have already sent at the time to the RFA via raffels, donations, membership fees, items purchased at local shows/seminars , attending other RFA fund rasing events etc. So it's a maybe, but I don't see a catagory for that. <'((((><

We are looking at a Striper trip, Sea Bass, and a Bottom fishing trip. There is going to be a SSFFF fluke trip already. Just trying to get an idea if it would be attended or not. Fares will be between $60 and $85 some will have food and other might not.
Please remember it is a fundraiser so it is going to be more $$ then a regular trip would be with a group of friend.

If I could get the day off I would be interested. So, let's call that a definite maybe. ;D
How many to fill the boat?

We would be looking for 40 guys per trip. They would be at different ports. through out the year. We would try to do them on the weekends.
Just trying to get an idea right now. If we feel like people would go we will move forward.
Ports that I am looking at are
Highlands
The Point
Sea Isle area or Cape May

Sounds good. I'm in, depending on the date /location. The sooner the dates are determined the better, I'll reserve the date in my schedule. <'((((><

Fishing with this group and raising money for the RFA... I'd be in for sure schedule permitting... t^

Don't want to start any problems but wasn't one of our members from the RFA that sits on the MASFC absent for the Sea Bass and Fluke and Tog votes so we actually lost a vote on those species

Do you me Tom Fote? He is not a member of the RFA. He is part of the JCAA. Capt. Adam was there just like the RFA has someone at almost every meeting that takes place. I have been to most in the last two year also.

I will attend the trip, Fishing with the guys from NJSWF is a blast. All depends on dates and my schedule. t^

Are we talking about an exclusive NJSWF.COM trip to benefit the RFA, or an open boat RFA fundraiser? <'((((><

No, It would be open to anyone that would like to go. I would need about 40 guys on each trip. Each trip would cost $85 per person. A boat + Crew is going to Cost $3000. If we get 40 guys there would be donation of $400 to the RFA-NJ chapter.
I would love to have each site run a trip but I do not think that each site could pull off getting 40 guys. We will see right now there is only 8 vote that they would go. Not good number right now. But we will see.
And yes other thing would bring in more money like a raffle or 50/50 or giveaways but that would come later.

Capt Fran. Just an FYI...On other trips that we have made there have been friends of our members also attending. I know I would have about four or five and possibly more with me on a typical trip. Other members bring along friends also. Just something to keep in mind. t^

Now that is what I am talking about. If everyone could get some people to go it would could be done. I am working on the boats now and will be away next week and when I get back I will see what we can do as for the trips.
I am thinking:
Striper trip out of The Highlands April
Sea Bass out of The Point July
and a Bottom trip out of Sea Isle in Sept.
Thanks IrishAyes for the information. t^
