Hi Ross,

I will be with my friend Bob from Hobby Lobby tomorrow, He is a Grady and Southport dealer.

I will ask ... he told me the other day because I am know considering a 30 ft. Grady.

I think he said every 25 hrs. but let me ask.

We did a Return on Investment (ROI) analysis lasy night for different power configurations including diesel and gas inboards vs. outboards. It is crazy how much better outboards perform these days.

Ross,

I have a f150 yamaha 4 stroke.. In the maintennace manual.. break in 10hrs, then every 100 hrs..filter break in 10hrs, then every 100 hrs..spark plugs every 200hrs..

here is my service breakdown::

Case of Yamaha 4 stroke oil $30/case

change oil every 50hrs.. 2/per case

Oil filter..$23 a piece

change filter every oil change 50 hrs..

Lower unit oil gallon  Yamaha gear lube $20

every 100hrs

It may seem I change a alot and may seem over kill..

but my motor runs great and to me is worth the cost of maintennce to see it fire every time you need it too..

I use only Yamaha product since my warranty is 6yrs

Hi Ross,

Joey G. is correct. For a 4-Stroke Yamaha, the required oil change, after the initial 10 hr. service, is 100 hrs, confirmed by a Yamaha Master Technician (one of only two in the state).

Have fun,
