Title: I had to forgo this years banquet

Hi Guys,

Well I had to forgo this years banquet due to family health problems.  2 of my wife's brother in laws have been diagnosed with cancer one has been undergoing treatment already and the other will start this Tuesday.  That weekend we will be getting together as a family so I will be out of state.

I urge any one that smokes to try as hard as you can to quit.  I know its hard but please think about your families, it can tear them up with emotions you can't imagine.

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear you won't be with us at the banquet, I hope that everyone will heed your words about smoking.
I've been dealing with the same situation for 21/2 years my wife has stage 4 lung cancer from smoking. It's pure hell watching a loved one try to deal with chemo and the side effects.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

I lost my grandfather to cancer when I was about 10. I'v never once smoked or even had the slightest desire to try it.  I believe it's due in part to watching his battle.

We'll miss you guys at the banquet.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.   Prayers are truly needed at this time.  I will miss everyone at the banquet so have a drink for me and have a great time.
