Title: NJSWF.com Striper trip
Post by: Kenny on April 05, 2011, 09:54:01 AM
Alright guys,

Finally after a long snowy winter, spring is here and it’s time to get the band back together and go fishing!

There has already been some buzz on the site about the spring striper run getting started.

Gymrat got us going March 18th with the site’s first striper and more recently NJ Kayak reported that Barnegat Bay is beginning to load up with bunker.

Safe to say things are starting to heat up and should be in full swing soon as water temps warm up from here.

So here’s the....NEW... plan,

The Bingo out of AH on the 28th of May

So who’s STILL in ??

1)  Kenny..........................( Still in )
2)  Rick ( Still Running )...........( Still in )
3)  Phil ( Wreckfish )
4) Scott G
5)  Rod..............................( Still in )

Our trips always fill to capacity, and we usally have a few on stand by. Once we get the date/price/details figured out, as well as factor in members who have not seen the post yet, "recruting" should not be a problem. Throw in some good fishing reports in the days prior to the trip & we might be squeezing in a few extras.  <'((((><

Just a quick update guys...

I've put a call in to Capt. Jack Bevins from the Bingo to try to get some info on dates/rates...

As soon as he gets back to me with some particulars/options I'll post em up...

I'm thinking/hoping...Sat May 14th or Sat 21st...

Just got off the phone with Jack Bevins from the Bingo....

He is booked the first 2 weekends in May but has Sat the 28th available...

He has a tentative hold on the 28th for a short bit till we decide if that works.

I think we need a minimum of 15 guys to make this a trip with 25 being the max...he is running this at a discount for us ( more on that later )

Chime in guys and let me know...

I'm still in !   ;D

It should be a good way to start off Memorial Day Weekend, friends, fish & fun. Going south on the Garden State Parkway to get home might suck, but it will be worth it. <'((((><

How about a different boat for a different weekend?
Title: Re: NJSWF.com Striper trip
Post by: Kenny on April 21, 2011, 08:02:47 PM
I am totally flexible here guys...

We could try another date or boat...My reasoning for the Bingo is he sponsors out site and is a smaller boat that will do a trip with as little as 15 guys...and it looks like we may struggle to get that many to agree on a day let alone 25 guys which is too small for many bigger boats that want to rail up 45 or 60 guys... also I know Memorial day weekend is tough for some but nothing is in concrete with the Bingo yet...

I'm open to any suggestions so post em up...Early/mid/end of June??

In the mean time let me reach out to Jack tomorrow to look at alternative dates in June and we can go from there and get this nailed down...

Post by: bassnblues on April 21, 2011, 08:28:45 PM
We could do the Bingo later and make it a fluke trip. Or do an evening or magic hours striper trip earlier.

I'm flexible,  I should be able to make it whenever and I don't care what we fish for.

Post by: Fishin Dude on April 21, 2011, 08:37:05 PM
If it's June, then anything after the 13th works for me. Obviously, more people might be able to make a weekend date, and that should be a first choice, but a weekday trip can work for me as well, if that's when we can get at least 15  members together.   5hrug  <'((((><

Not easy to get a trip together Kenny.
Thanks for all the work and time you're puting into this.
As dates change the list changes thud
My only bad dates are the weekend of June 4th (Private Stiper Tourn in CT)
and maybe the 18th daughters baby shower thing.
Good during any week day. t^ t^
