Fished the Inlet today. Didnt arrive there until about 10 30. Caught 1 short fluke in that whole time. Worked it up and down the whole wall. Current was moving hard right to left as the tide was working its way in. Finally took a cast at around 2 00, line snapped, 2nd half of my pole went into the water, lost half my ugly stick. Ended fishing, just got back home. It was a nice day to be out, but fishing was extremely slow, and i lost half my rod. Boooo.

that inlet can be productive but weekends is tough,, i ussualy fish it from the other side. also theres tog on the rocks there

Sorry about the rod. The fishing down here near the Barnegat Inlet is not that great either. Descent size fluke are far and few between. Blue are all over, too many shorts, not enough Fluke 17" plus. :(

Agree with you pathfinder. Was at the barnegat Inlet a few days ago with part of the family. All snappers for the most part. Fluke was very slow, didnt see any caught there. Figured id get out of the house today and try for some fluke at the inlet. Caught the 1 short fluke about 20 minutes into fishing, but got REAAAAAAAAL slow and lost part of the rod and etc..but what are you gonna do. ;)

I fished the inlet today, 4:00pm till 7:00pm. All shorts (fluke). I saw one keeper come over the wall of 18 inches. Did I mention the sea robins?

Pt Pleasant or Barnegat Inlet ? I'm guessing Pt. Pleasant. I dont see many sea robins caught there really. Lots of short flukes though ;)

Point Pleasant. I fished Barnegat yesterday. I must have caught 10 sea robins and 5 shorts today. I was at the end of wall by the fisherman monument.

I have not heard alot of reports of weakies down that way anyone scoring yet ,they should be here

In the Barnegat area, Weak fish are spotty from what I'm hearing. Some guy's are starting to pick up a few. Weak fishing in general over the past couple of springs has been slowing down. I think with the up swing in Bass, the weakies are taking a down swing. Bass are most likely eating the smaller weakies.
