Title: Don't Let The Warm Weather Fool You
Post by: kayak1 on April 11, 2011, 06:26:18 PM
This is the time of year that most kayak guy's think more about the air temp's......Then the water......

Keep in mind that our water temps are around 40 to 45 degrees.....which will put your body in to shock if your to enter the water without the proper gear.... Its just not worth the risk.

Be safe and kayak smart this time of year.

Thats an under statement Dave.  Was up around Belford this morning.  Saw 2 bass caught off the pier at Belford (spy house).  Sweet.  But the waters are still to cold for me to get out as I know I usually go over...LOL  But I hope the pontoons help this year.

We are looking for something inexpensive for my wife Lil and would like to keep it below 500.  If you come across something let me know.

Happy Catching

Jersey Paddler in Brick.  I have the Hobie Quest.  Nice boat.  I did some work on it like put an anchor trolley on it, fish finder, rudder and a few other little things.  It is not cheap, if you go that route it will be in the 2 grand category. Oh yeah the wife bought me pontoons for it so I will feel safer when I bring out my photography equipment.

Now I am looking for a smaller one for her so that she can tag along this summer.

Happy Catching

This goes for all boaters.  Always dress for the water, not the air.

Yup, that would be mine.  Highly doubt there's another one around, save for the one in my yard  t^.  It's getting ready to go in the water.

We were driving past Crabbys and then I did a double take when I saw the name on the boat.
