Title: Striper Rod
Post by: taco on May 15, 2011, 12:05:36 PM
Hey guys,
I want to buy a new striper rod for live lining and chunking.  I pretty sure I want to get a Penn reel but cant decide which one.  Also for the rod I cant decide between a Penn or G loomis. Thanks in advance

Will this be for boat or surf first of all?

Gloomis carries a hefty price tag. As Paul said boat or surf? if surf, what is your skill level? we can point you in the right direction :)
But you mention a Penn rod so I figure for boat?
