Today a friend of mine bought some pre-cut squid in Belmar. The package said "packed for Spring Lake Freezer product of china". Can not beleive it is cheaper to send squid from China to us.

I get Mine at the Asian market also. Maybe that comes from U.S. Squid boats ;D

As you know, China has the big mother ships that net,process,can ,label and box the fish right on board.They then off load and truck direct to the USA markets.Sell our fish back to us.Thats why there is a concern of the over fishing in their waters and now go around the world (other countries)to fish. We must be watchful of this or in years to come we'll be fishing in the tolet boul. >:(

Apparentely so,, :P,,, Billy The owner of Spring Lake freezer is a huge supporter of fishing clubs and S.S.F.F, And Donates whenever he can to charity events, The Chinese packed Squid Strips most be the best way he can keep the price down.
