Headed over to the pond around 1 this afternoon and it was a slow day. Caught some small bullheads and even smaller green sunfish. This was the first time I've ever caught a green sunfish though and it was the first time I caught something other than a catfish at this pond. It gives me hope that there are some bass in there and it's only a matter of time until I get lucky. I've gotta stop fishing in the middle of a hot, sunny afternoon and fish around dusk. The afternoons the last few weeks were very slow. Another first today, I got stabbed by one of the bullheads barbs when I was releasing it. Didn't hurt too bad, probably because it was only a small one.
