I was fluke fishing about 3 miles off the highlands bridge. the fishing was slow only shorts. I saw birds working about a mile inshore, so I put a diamond jig on my light rod to have some fun with blue fish. 2nd cast I hook up and more than a 1/2 hour later gaff a cow nose ray rgmn. Thats the never again part, just cut the line next time. ended up with only short fluke.

How big is that sucker? Is that a cup or a 5 gallon bucket next to it? Looks big to me..

I'm pretty sure there's a cow nose ray swimming around with my fishing pole in the bay. Something snapped the traxstech rod holder right at the reinforced stainless steel ring. Like a twig.
