Hi everyone. Been lurking here since around April and finally caught something worth sharing. Fish was caught on my own boat off the tip of Sandy Hook last Saturday Aug 4th in 58 ft of water.Weighed in at Atlantic Highlands Bait+Tackle at 12.5 lbs and measured 34". Caught on a big and long squid strip.I buy my squid whole at an oriental market so I can cut the strips the way I like them.

Welcome to the site and congratulations on your catch. It's good to see you took the leap from lurker to poster. t^
BTW. You don't have to wait for a great catch like that one to post. By posting good and bad reports it lets everyone know what is going on in the real fishing world.

Nice catch Mike,
Like it was mentioned before, post away. Good reports, bad reports anything that will tell what the conditions are like in a particular area.
By posting a report about a not so good outing and listing your stratigies and techniques someone out there might have a fix for your next outing.
Not every technique works for every location. So post on Mike and Welcome Aboard.
Happy Catching
