Title: Nov 17 surf report
Post by: ChrisL on November 17, 2011, 02:59:56 PM
Fished the seaside area this morning from about 9am - 1pm.  Covered a decent amount of ground.
Conditions are real nice.  Water is clean, but too clean.  No nasty sweep like earlier in the week.  Wind was NNW 10+ with on&off rain.

Had one short, maybe 16in, early in the trip.  Made a move to a favorite spot and found a bunch of guys on a steady bite.  Took me over an hour to get mine though.  On what was to be my last cast the AVA got sucked up by a nice 29in bass.  Put it in the box and called it a day.   ;D

Back out in the same spot at low tide / first light this morning.  COLD doesn't describe it.  Only hung around for a little over an hour.
Tons of bait.  Water like a lake.
Had 1 short and saw the guy next to us bag a keeper.

Highlight was watching a bass come out of the water following the teaser as I lifted it out of the water.

No luck tonight. Combination of dark and low tide weren't good.  Seems to be a morning bite.

Definitly a morning thing going on around here. The only way I'll see 5 am on the beach is if I'm still there from the night before....I don't do well with getting out of bed when it's still dark.

Fished the same area last night on the incoming and not a creature was stirring. Fished in the back earlier this evening got real cold real quick. No action tonight
