today was surely not a repeat of yesterday.
got the big skunk. nothing but spiney dogfish. tried everything in my arsenal i could to come up empty handed. saw plenty caught, but slow pickings for sure
only thing i saw to take a pic of today was this guy sneaking through the fleet,,

Nice try Greg.. "Most" that missed the morning bite didn't have a very good day.. unless you were trolling..

Anyone out late missed what was an early bite...nice try Greg, nice seeing you out there t^

Good effort.

thanks for the picture. I also missed the bite. I had real high hopes that day, but didn't pan out. Next year is a different story. For starters, I'm not putting the boat back on the trailer until the striper run is over.. lol
-
staying down our way next year, or back up north?
-
my decision is.. Either trailer the boat to Atlantic Highland for the North Striper during April - June, then move the boat to my home in Toms River the rest of the season... or... Just put the boat in Toms River right from the get go in April. I am very undecided. I guess it all depends where the striper bite is at the time. I have a few good spots up North in the Spring that I hate to have go to waste and risk me not being able to find the southern, spring, striper bite.

exactly.. Actually all of April and May... I hate to give that up.. I hate to trailer the boat to those fishing grounds also.. lol... I wish I can grab a slip up there for 2 months..

thats a tough one, up north is usually a better bass bite in the early spring, unless you hit up the bunker at the right time down this way.
