Title: August 14 flukin on the Angler
Post by: Flukedood on August 14, 2007, 05:46:37 PM
Hit the Angler this Morning, I figured I would get there early to see if I could get a shot at the pulpit.. Yea right, I got there at 4:15 and Archie and crew were already there.. I think they take turns sleeping in their cars.. Oh well, good for them.. Most of the guys are retired and really fish regularly.. Anyway, I was lucky enough to get the next spot right after the pulpit..

We made a couple of drifts early in the SH channel, not much going on so Capt George headed out to the Ambrose.. We had a nice steady pick of fish for most of the morning.. Nothing huge came over the rails and Archie won the pool for the second day in a row with about a 4 lb fish.. I am pretty sure I was High hook with 6 keepers and all the fish I cought were nice keepers.. None were under 18 inches.  Im really surprised no big fish came up today.. There are alot of good fishermen and fisherwomen on that boat..

Well it was another great trip Thanks agian to Captian Capt George and mates Brian and Greg.. t^
