On Saturday 11/26 we had the John O'Harrow charter out for mixed Bag Stripers / Blues and Tog. All but John were new to fishing. Left the dock to a gorgeous sunrise. The crew had a slow start jigging with the bass and blues. They dropped fish and hung bottom but eventually they got the hang of it catching a good with only 2 Stripers making the box. When the bite died out, we switched over to togging making a few drops. John and Julia really go into a rhythm contributing to at least half the box. By day’s end they boxed 11 Tog to 6# and released around 20 short tog. Unfortunately one of the crew came down with Mal De Mar early. Additionally they won the lottery today with the weather. A lot of fun today was had by all.
All fish were caught on the same Shimano Tekota 600 Reel / Saragosa Rod set-ups with Mono.
