Fished the Barnegate Ridge today, stopped and set up the trolling pattern, had blue fish on in no time, 3 hook ups landed 1. We hit another pod and landed 2 more, by the time the weather changed we had a dozen.
The morning troll was fair, 3 ft. seas and about 12 knot winds, then she started to blow, so we packed it in.
Not a bad day considering the weather. t^

Hi all ,New guy here ...On the subject of the ridge i went here with a friend and we were catching false albies ,i decided to keep a few to eat ,however looking online for recipes it seems unfavorable to many...tried some last night, marinated in italian dressing ,then sprinkled with lemon peppr and cooked in a pan with a little butter ,I didnt think itwas that bad ,any one have any other way to Cook .
Tight lines,

Welcome Aboard Nick,
Glad you made the effort to post and I thank You for that. I have not tried the False Albacore but I bet it is good in a batter and deep fried with chips and slaw.
Now I'm hungry.
Happy Catching
