Gotta say pretty dissapointed...  not gonna single anybody out but good portion of the vendors were charging over retail for off brand jigs ect... I usally go to flea markets for things like umbrella rigs, jigs and things like this but today i walked home empty handed because honestly i could get the same deals at just about any B&T. So for any of you going to more flea markets through this winter make sure you price check things your interested in before you go just because its a flea market doesnt mean its reasonable.

Best Deal i saw was $6 dollar 4 oz spro bucktails and $6 dollar Gulps nothing crazy.

ANDDDDD it was all Carls fault!!  smk  rofla

Me and Carl will be going to the Hi Mar Flea market hoping for some better prices there.

Seems like these things are turning into nothing more than traveling retail stores. If the vendors continue with this approach they will close down the flea market trail as no one will be making any purchases.  nosmly

I mean i went there with $250 bucks to spend on myself and carl asked me to keep an eye open for tuna jigs and jigging rods for him... and i walked out without spending a dime

Its like you said mike...used to be able to get nice umbrella rigs for 10-15 bucks a clip 2 yrs ago...now everyone wants 25-30 bucks a pop. Wheres the bargains of a "flea market" ?

I agree NJ Guy.  I didn't see anything there to get excited about.  Of course, I get a lot of my stuff at way less than retail anyway, but it was still disappointing.

I think the internet has a lot to do with it.  Personally, if I have some stuff I want to get rid of, I'll most likely post it up on the forums or on Craigslist before I spend $25 on a table just to sit around the whole day trying to dicker with people trying to save $2. :P

It was for a good cause though.  I'm glad I got out to support the Lacey HS Fishing Club.  Plus, my daughter got a lesson on bivalves and a sand dollar from the guy at the "Reclam The Bay" table. t^
