Not the most involved marine design but the two below pics were done by Juan at Ambers Blue Velvet in Langhorne, PA. Juan is awesome with design and detail work. http://www.ambersbluevelvettattooing.com/
The first one is a memorial tattoo for father on my calf. The second is a memorial tattoo for him on my nephew's chest. Juan drew them both off of ideas we presented.

besides a shark on my shoulder, I was going to do the nautical star with my kids names incorporated in it somehow.

Here's my new on I got today. It's a tribute to both my father and my godfather. When my father passed away at 51 years old his best friend came to me and put all his feelings aside and took me under his wing and over these past 5 years has become a second father to me. I believe every young man needs a father figure in his life. When I lost my father, Jack (his best friend and my godfather) came to me that next day I cried like a baby in his arms saying over and over that "I want my daddy". I was 30 years old and I was a child. He took that to heart and made sure that he was going to be the voice of my father and be that man for me. I'm not ashamed to admit how hard it was for me to lose my dad. I'm not ashamed to admit that I wasn't ready. My father was truly a man of the sea. He loved the ocean, he loved the beach. He and I spent countless times out there together and now these days I spend those times with Jack, my second father, because he too shares that same love. Our time on the water is always a tribute to my father, and we both believe my dad is ther with us every time. This tattoo honors them both. It's who my father was, who Jack is, and who I am today. This tattoo truly commemorates all of our spirits and I am really proud to wear it on my body as a badge of where and who I come from and the men who shaped me in becoming the man I am today. So this is my maritime tattoo showing what I am truly about.
