Title: Wax
Post by: PHIL on March 20, 2012, 11:26:44 AM
Hey guys. On my previous boat hull I've always used a mothers carnuba wax. Anyone see a problem with using this type of wax? If so, do you know of a better one? t^

I like COLLINITE'S NO 845 INSULATOR WAX.  You're always welcome to come test it on my my boat!  ;D

I see no problem with it.  If you polish the boat I would be more concerned with using a boat specific product since it would be cutting the gelcoat.  I used 3m heavy oxidation polish with an orbital and a wool cutting pad, followed by a milder polish with a lighter pad, followed by mothers carnauba wax.  Wax is wax IMO.
