Title: Sea conditions
Post by: dgo6614 on April 12, 2012, 01:27:53 PM
I'm a new boat owner (19' GW) and have spent a good amount of time on boats years ago. (Pt. Pleaseant to MV/New England in 33' Sea Ray) but what I'd like to know is a good website for current sea conditions.  Being that I have only a 19 footer I want to avoid the bad days on the ocean while fishing.  I dont want to waste my time putting my boat in and getting to the inlet to find that the seas are crappy and would be too much for my boat to handle.  Any suggestions?  I'm in central NJ and plan on fishing out of Belmar.

Thanks.

Marine forecast mentioned is a good start.

Take a look at windguru.com as well, I find it pretty accurate with real time wind and wave conditions.

Also take a look at thesurfersview.com   real time cams of multiple places on the coast.  The shot of Mani Inlet is particularly good.
