Expecting to be lined up at the boat ramp in Sayreville, I was pleasantly suprised to see I was the only boat out on such a nice morning!(weird?)....Had my son and Penn State nephew Joe on board hopin to troll up some bass....wasn't long before Joe halls in his first keeper bass mid-bay....continue the troll towards the hook and it was game on for a couple hours with keepers and shorts mixed in....saw the fleet around the hook but they dispursed after a hour or two with some boats headin south and others in the bay...bite died somewhat with one here and there... great day for me and the boys! did see some gannets diving inside the hook comin up with adult bunker. chrz
