Title: Hoffman Park - Hunterdon County
Post by: DJ76 on April 24, 2012, 09:32:36 PM
Fished hoffman parks main pond for two and half hours yesterday afternoon.  Got eight bass and two rainbows.  All fish released.  got three bass off shiners and the rest where all off a rapala lipless crankbait in green color.  Was bouncing the bait off all the brush near were a creek was letting into the pound. Only two fish where 10-12" and of decent size the rest were small but still fun.  My father also got two bass...nice one off a shiner and smaller one off of a similar size lipless in silver and blue.   Went back in the evening for an hour and got (almost!) another bass on my second cast...he came off right before I could grab the line and pull him on shore...decent fight but threw the hook when he jumper a few feet from shore.  not much else after that for forty minutes so decided to throw green tube texas rigged and got a small bass hiding under some logs.  all in all not bad for a few hours of fishing in a small pond.
