Jumped on the boat around 11:00 AM, just the wife and In Netted some fresh spearing, had lunch in the River before heading out of SR inlet. Stuck close by today since the wife was not feel to well. The water was still dirty near shore from the storms last week. Hit a couple of marks in 60 feet of water just to the south of the inlet and after 2 drifts I was on a school of fish that was very tightly packed. Water temp was 72 degrees and we were picking through a lot of shorts and ended up putting 3 keepers in the box caught on Gulp and Sea robin and spearing. YES MBOY I now have GULP on my hooks it seams like most of the time I guess you can say I have converted :o The afternoon bite was good with the breeze shifting out of the east was a nice day could have stayed on the ocean all night, with no humidity and nice seas. Finally headed in at 5 PM after another 2 drifts in close outside of the buoy with the water dirty and a incoming tide we managed several more shorts and another keeper. On vacation this week and will be making the most of the fishing time trying to fill the freezer for winter. TT^

Yea I don't know which is more expansive Gulp or spearing and squid, The gulp does last a long time if a fluke don't shake it off the hook when they come up shakin that head. t^

I have cuahgt a few dozen fish on 1 gulp, so they def outlast real dead or liev bait for sure. Even if one or 2 do shake you off.
