Title: IBSP 7/2/12
Post by: ChrisL on July 02, 2012, 08:27:12 PM
Been going a bit stir crazy sitting around and reading reports of bluefish and fluke in the surf.
After running a few errands this morning I stopped by the park for a little bit.  Mostly looking to catch some sunshine and salt air.  But of course I took a rod outfitted w/ skinny metal and a teaser  ;)
What a beautiful day.  Warm, nice breeze, calm ocean  TT^
A couple casts in a noticed fish playing on the surface.  The next couple casts produced some small bluefish, including a doubleheader.  As quick as they showed up, they disappeared.  But it was relaxing while it lasted.
Watched a pod of dolphin come through and start blitzing on bait within casting distance.  They put on a great show for about 15 minutes.

I was down on Monday small blues from the surf at area 10. Was using mullet. Nice day to be fishing and not working. ;D

I was in that exact location today with my daughter and even though we did not catch anything it was good to be out there with her again.

I was going to get a package of mullet but decided to get clams instead.  My bad...

Oh well next time I will have to pick up some just for spits and giggles.

Happy Catching
