Today's email from NJDEP...
The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced that the deployment of a 47-foot sculpture of a horseshoe crab on the Axel Carlson Reef has been postponed. Originally scheduled for July 25, the deployment is now anticipated to occur within the next two weeks (sea and weather conditions permitting). The sculpture is being deployed as part of the Division's Artificial Reef Program.

Damn! Would've been neat to see. The wind is going to be blowing. You still going out to try for some fluke? I am up in the air of whether to hope for a sleeping weatherman or stay inside.

I saw it last week in the Manasquan River on a barge. It was pretty cool. Too bad it got swamped. It will still make a good reef.
