Title: Carlson Reef 8/31
Post by: bukman on September 01, 2007, 08:08:42 AM
Joe and I went and fished all thru the reef today. Fishing was pretty tough when the wind, that NOAA had no idea about, was puffing pretty hard. Thought they predicted 5-10??? Again.......nice job NOAA. We caught sooo many underlegal size fluke today. ALL of which were PERFECT tablefare size, BUT we have to put them back, so that the draggers can bring them in, so that we can PAY for them. What bureaucratic BS we have for governors of OUR fisheries!! Back to the report!! We caught fluke up to 5# and a nice bunch of chubby seabass. The catching was alot better when the wind laid down, of course. The highlight of the day was the 4-5# bonito that hit my rig as I was cranking it up. My wife made some GREAT bonito scampi outa that for dinner.........MMM GOOD!!!
