cfzd Great idea I will be looking into them since I have little feeling in the tips of my fingers a simple cinch knot is hard for me. Thanks for that post Bill chrz

Interesting, looks like it would be perfect for multiple hook rigs.

I would think the littlest amount of slack and the line would pop out of the open eye.....no thanks....

Wouldn't trust this at all.

I never saw a hook with a lil ball on it... :headscra: what is it and what is it used for? My dad taught me a very basic knot, put the leader through the eye, pull it up, wrap it around the top part of the leader 6-7 times pull the end through the loop at the bottom and thats it. ( sorry if I didnt splain that right) I think its the most basic one no? 5hrug I have always wanted to learn how to tie it around the shaft like you see on the premade lures. A friend tried to show me once, but I don't really remember how, :-\ I am always up and eager for learning anything and as much as I can about fishing and lures and such; but I need hands on training, and practice ofcourse, :P it works better for me.

The knot your referring to is called a 6 wrap or fishermans knot. Very useful in terminal applications finish with a overhand knot on braid. The knot you would like to learn is called the snell knot theres many ways to do this. You tube snell knot t^

Ms Fish, if you then ran the line through the large loop and pulled the long end tight, you would have an improved clinch knok. A bit stronger.
