Title: lake o salmon run 8/ 13-15

the salmon are starting to stage off the oswego river.we fished out of wrights landing and ran out to 130 - 150ft.the temp was 50deg at 90ft.we fished riggers down 90-120ft. and wire dipseys set at 300-330 .the hot set up was ice house colored pro troll with a hammer fly.the first day we went 6 fer 9 all mature kings 23-25lbs.2nd day we went 2 fer 4 the big fish were gone and replaced by teen size kings and a coho.3rd day cut short when my friends 28 footer broke down and we had to tow him in with my boat.we still went 2 fer 4 before we made the tow.goin up this weekend will give a report when we we return.

Can't wait to get up to the lake.
Did you run any copper?
Hows the river flow? I hear they are low on rain again this year.

read some bait but the females shut down only the males had bait in them.eggs were in advanced stage so they will be staging soon.no copper for me when they are that deep.dippseys at 300-330 at 1 1/2 setting were taking fish.and rigger at 90- 120 have at em guys...... let you know about this weekend trip when i return.

If you ever get a chance to try copper, it works well even when the fish are staging in 90- 150 FOW.
Some days thats all we could hook up on. Good luck this weekend.
