Title: UnReel Reports 31st, 1st, and 2nd
Post by: CaptJohn on September 02, 2007, 09:03:59 PM
August 31st

Headed out to the deep fluke grounds today with, Bill, Dwight, Hank, Tom, and Pete. The bite started off a little slow this morning, but we found a few small patches and managed a decent catch of 16 keeper flatties. Some were caught on plain hooks w/ meat and some on bucktails too. Dwight and Tom are below with some doormats!

Sept 1st

The wind was howling this morning so I took Jeff and his crew out for some croakers and blues. We had a great day out there with about a dozen nice croakers and some where around 70 blues. We had great action most of the day. We fished in about 20 ft with squid and meat.

Sept 2nd

Headed back to the deep today for some flatties. We certainly had some competition out there today. Maybe the most boats I have seen here all season. We managed to keep 12 nice fluke today and 6 nice bass up to about 4 pounds. Most of our fish were caught on plain hooks with meat.
