Went back for some inshore yellowfin with Jimmmy and Steve after having 2 nice fish last week on the night chunk, started off a little slow with trying to get live squid we manged to get some bait and sent them down.
Around 1am. we were hooked up to what we thought was a brown shark with a cobia following him to the boat then when we got him close then we knew it was a big cobia. Hit him on the first gaff shot but pulled out.. got a second shot and he went nuts took 2 of use to get him in the boat. Went to weigh him and he was 82lbs...just 5 pounds short of the state record.
Was a great fun night on the water.
