Title: Belmar Fluke 9-5
Post by: sealife on September 05, 2007, 07:52:28 PM
Came out of the Shark River Inlet looking for NOAA's 5-10 kt NE and found 15 to maybe 20.  Seas were to be 2-3 but were 2-4 with a few bigger mixed in.  Stayed near the inlet and picked a few shorts.  Wind layed down and we got off to Asbury for more shorts and one keeper fluke.  Wind kicked again but then layed down and we made it up to Long Branch. Finished the day with about 30 fluke and 5 keepers.  Had fresh spearing, killies and squid but sea robin belly was the best.

Good report Dave, nice catch.  I hope to be out Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon.  Gotta get the last days in if the weather cooperates.   t^
