Title: Early am 9/25 slam? ...... nope
Post by: FishOn on September 25, 2012, 08:07:13 PM
Still pursing my goal of a land based bluefish, striped bass, and weakfish in one outing.  (could sub the weakie for an albie).

Anyway, hit some back bay spots in Ocean County yesterday.  Caught the last two hours of outgoing.  Second cast had a massive blow up and missed it. Couple casts later same thing.  Happened three or four more times as the fish seemed to be tail slapping my plug.  Finally connected and to my surprise I landed a nice 22" weakfish.  Three casts later landed a 6 lb blue.  Now Im getting excited cause I know there are bass feeding where I was.  But it was not to be as I started falling asleep standing up and had the tide slack out on me.  Had to call it a night.  All fish released.
