Title: Fluking Much, Much Better 9/6
Post by: CapBob on September 06, 2007, 11:21:27 PM
Went out today with a three man charter, Mike, Joe and Bert from Hoboken. After poor results in the bay yesterday we headed outside.

Fished Sandy Hook Reef, a few other choice lumps and bumps and the Shrewsbury Rocks.

Most of the fishing was in 38-56' of water using Peanut Bumkers or Jumbo Kellie/Squid Combo.

Days total was 24 keepers to 23" (most of the fish were in the 18-19" range) 39 throw backs (a ton of Fat, Fat, Fat 16 1/2 to 16 3/4" fish) and 11 Sea Bass to 17"

A good bunch of guys who were very skilled  ;D

We will be hitting it hard until the bitter end TT^

Sounds like a few limits to me.... t^ t^ t^
Nice job!
The fatty flattys @ 16"+ are killin' me too- just think of what the NYer's gotta deal with.
Hope to get out over the weekend if schedules and whethers permit.
