Was looking into getting a new company was wondering who uses who? I would need coverage for 40,000 to 50,000. I have State Farms now 75,000 coverage and pay around 1,000. A year

I use Foremost.

I'm in good hands with Allstate. With that being said, I have been looking at Boat U.S. which I have my on-water towing contract with, you might want to check them out while shopping around.

I found Boat US to be expensive.

Got this from another member, and got a quote for my boat that seemed reasonable.
I work in insurance (Property) and read over the policy, seems like a fairly good policy......although i own a dinghy (insd for 10k) compared to a 50K boat......good luck t^

Compare your coverage to what they offer and see if it is worth the price differance, it might not be for you. I'm a firm beleiver in quality coverage.

Make sure you check what they cover. Some of the cheaper priced insurance policies do not cover spillage. If you have a major (or minor for that matter) oil/gasoline spill, make sure your policy will cover it or it can be very expensive out of pocket.

whs Capt. Joe is absolutely right. They will hang you out to dry if no coverage for any kind of spill.

What are you guys paying for 35,000 worth of coverage?

No matter what you currently have I hope they all cover hurricane damage if you're in the water for this upcoming storm.

Fred Good point--Some companies cover for emergency Pull Outs too. And some won't cover if the boat is left in. t^
