I just read on another site that John passed away earlier this month at age 80. I did not know the man personally, but like so many others, felt like I did. Growing up, I always enjoyed reading his columns in the APP, whether they were regarding fishing or life on his farm in Wall Twp. He was a tireless advocate for our sport and his passions were evident in all that he wrote.
RIP, John, you did good.
