was on the water by 11:00pm and had the wind blowing from the Northeast......This is a great wind because its the wind pushing against the out going tide.....This will put a better chop on the water.
The Striped Bass where blowing out of the water when I got to my first small cut in the marsh......First cast.....28" fish and boy this fish was fat.
After 2 hours of fishing and 6-8 bass all around the 28"-32" class I had enough and my back was killing me.... I started to head back across the bay for the truck.........While all my fish where caught in 2-3 feet of water....So while on my way back I trolled using a deep diving plug.....When in about 8 feet of water I found some small bait up on the surface.......So I trolled right through the center.....Why not its just me out here....I had a hit that spun the yak around and this fish started pulling the kayak and me.......I drooped the paddle and grabbed the rod.....That was it...Lost the fish..... Fished that same area another hour not even a bump........Great night of fishing.....Thank god for the wind last night.
