great picture from this morning of a surfer being rescued by a civilian.  The surfer is still in the water.

Heard it was a 16 year old kid and his father let him paddle out. Jackasses putting theirs and others lives a risk to catch a few sloppy waves.

That is a very very risky manuever in those seas.....surfer boy could have easily wound up under that rig.

I heard the USCG had to rescue a surfer of off Sea Bright today. What some people won't do to put others in jeophardy.  nosmly

this is that same incident.  The civilian boat made it there before the Coast Guard.. This is that same rescue.

Gotchya Nick. The kid's lucky that boat was out there. I stopped at the ocean after checking my boat and mobile home. It was nasty (the ocean).

Would have taken forever for a CG boat to get where he was.  nosmly

45 minutes for CG chopper in AC. That's 44 minutes too long in that water

And that's not counting the time it would take to locate him in the water.

 clp True heros. However Lucky they were already out there in those conditions.  They must have been out already, long run around the hook or from shark river.
