Heard thru the vine that B.I. has some restrictions in place....like you cannot leave the inlet without a licensed captain on board and anyone even attempting to come close to the barrier islands will be arrested no questions asked.
-
I do hope thats not true, and until i see it in writing I'm gonna call BS
-
Can't find anything about a closure on the cg site, cg aux site, nj state police marine division or any news site, to include the app
-
Call it whatever...just passing along info from the info vine.

They did have it shut for awhile this morning....more for an assessment than anything....the inlet is open to boaters but still no access around the barrier islands and they are asking all boats to stay a mile off the Seaside Beaches. This intel was from the Auxillary in BI.

slt

Apparently they( USCG)are still turning boats around at the inlet....probably until they re open long beach island.
The communication routes seem still be a big ? right now.
Sent an email to State Police Marine Division to confirm this.

New intel...all coastal waterways and inlets from L.E.I. north to and including NY Harbor are closed to boats....regardless of charter boats or personal boats or head boats.....trying to confirm
-
Wow. It does make sense tho...

Was down at Belmar today and saw several boats on the ocean a few of them were head boats the other ones looked like six packs. Looked like they were heading in towards MI
