Title: I can't accept this!!!
Post by: Mr Limpett on November 11, 2012, 11:57:45 AM
I don't mean to be insensitive to those who have been devastated by the storm, and I'm a proud Jersey guy and lover of our great Jersey Shore...but....

I really really want to surf fish, it's my favorite month! Does anyone know what beach is open? I assume Sandy Hook and IBSP are still closed, right?
Man...the perfect time for stripers and I can't fish? I just bought a new pair of Korkers!

How about party boats? Is it really over?

I think belmar boats are waiting for power to the bridges.  I'm pretty sure manasquan inlet fleet are starting up again.  don't hold me to it.  sifting through the forums, I might be confused. lol.  only beach I saw anyone reporting was absecon

Try the beaches north of Shark River inlet. I saw guys out there throwing their stuff in the surf. Don't know if they were catching or not. Saw a fairly large group fishing off the north jetty at Shark River inlet. When I was down last week there were two guys fishing the north jetty and they had a keeper striper on the rocks.

Good luck if you go.

Belmar Municipal Dock parking lot at the party boats was full today. Looked like most, if not all, party boats went out.

The beaches from Mansquan Inlet to Barneget Inlet will be off limits for the rest of the year, if not longer

The Queen Mary and Cock Robin are sailing out of Point for stripers and bluefish.  The Gambler said they will be sailing shortly.

Good luck if you go! t^

Do as you may. many are hurting many are not. outdoor sports are a distraction to relive stress and enjoyment. Whats the difference between watching a football game a going fishing. Pon. What ever floats your boat. In my post I reported beaches from North Long Branch. Long Branch, Monmouth Beach,Deal, North end Asbury Park all have areas ( SPOTS ) to gain access to fish the surf.Bait is a problem I got bait Mullet at The Asian Market. where there is many to chose from & Clams. But I chose not to fish. But that was my choice, not imposed on others. Go Get Them MR.  Limpett let us know how you did  clp pcrn pcrn pcrn
