The weekend will start off with yet again, another storm. This storm is looking like another coastal storm tracking along the coast. This could bring snow to most of NJ with rain or wintry mix to any other areas, gale force winds and coastal flooding for Saturday. Sunday will be dry, breezy and mostly sunny. High temperatures will only be in the mid 30's with lows down into the mid 20's. Right now, Saturday's water conditions are rated good, however, depending on the timing of this system, conditions could deteriorate rapidly with wind blown snow and low visibility. Sunday, water conditions are cautious to hazardous with winds to 40+ knots and seas building to 4-6 inshore and 5-7 feet midshore to offshore. Small Craft Advisories are likely on Saturday and probable on Sunday. Surf conditions for Saturday will be moderate with 2-3 foot waves and gustier winds. Sunday surf conditions will be rough with 3-5 waves and gale force winds.
Low pressure will track across the Mid Atlantic on Saturday before moving to the northeast. High pressure will move in to the south of the area for Sunday.
