... but I think I'm Floundering.
Has anyone heard what the winter flounder regs. are for this year? I hope we have a season!

From NJDEP site;
2012 Marine Issue of the Fish and Wildlife DIGEST (published in May) Regulations remain in effect until changed.
The regulations for 2012 -->2 winter flounder at 12 inches each.
Open season is March 23 until May 21.

So, they probably will be changed, yes? Are Flounder on the endangered list or something?

That's enough for a sandwich.. :P Hardly worth the trip, fuel, bait, cleanup.. I doubt many will be targeting them very much unless you do a combo trip with different species.

Me, my Mom and Dad used to go right to the Belmar Marina and fish off the lil dock area there at high tide...that was many MANY year ago, I was like 10. ;D I have seen people fishing there before, but that doesn't mean they knew what they were doing. rofla I agree with Eddie, I wouldn't want to spend too much for 2 12' fish. :-\ BUT I am in to go fish off a small dock or wall that may still be functioning (and safe). ;D The news was a lil promising for a change re: Belmar. clp They said they weren't raising the badges this year since the comunity stuck together to get things moving. t^ They are trying to be the first to cut the red ribbon on the new board walk! msfsh 135 years and counting...We'll see!
