Title: Gudebrod 4oz spools of black nylon size "B"
Post by: YOGI on January 30, 2013, 02:40:40 AM: Hey guys,I'm in need of a (or more)4oz spool of Goudbrod thread in black nylon but, it must be size "B".As I do alot of repairs, I found that "B" thread fills the gap between "A and D" thread. In other words, its a good all around size that eliminates the need to change spools all the time.
I have a good supply of vintage items in new condition for restoration or repair of rods such as : very clear 2" dia. cork rings, reel seats, guides,tip/tops,ferrules,and a load of thread in colors that have been out of production for decades, in silk too !
I know someone has to have some BLACK "B" just as the items I have and must be willing to break loose of it if they have no need for it. Please go thru your old stash and see what you come up with. I 'm willing to cash out or swap with you.

I haven't wrapped a rod in ten years, but I might have some thread somewhere (if I can locate it). Although I'm thinking it's probably D or E.

Did you see the turning Motor I made from a cars wiper motor, Yes its 12 V, Have converter for it and a small battery set up. The rpms are just right for turning to dry Epoxys on wraps. Had to disconect what they call the detent os it would revolove 360. I the just had to get the Jaws for it ON LINE. Make the mount and off it went. I have 3 motors left if interested My moto is why buy when I can make it. I have built from 6ft to 14 ft rods no problems
