Was on the water by 5:30am at Oyster Creek.....The wind was blowing hard out of the North East which made fishing the mouth of the creek a pain in the you know what.....What a chop on the water.
The anchor would not hold to keep me in the spot I wanted to be......Well the Weakfish are still in the creek and I did manage to get some up to 6 pounds.....I did see some boats that had fish in the 10 pound range on live spot.
The color PINK is a must for fishing the creek......This is very easy fishing for those who want to kayak Oyster Creek and get in on the spring action.
I parked at the new fishing area off Dock Road and the ramp is great for the kayak.... This was a fun trip for me and I had a blast fishing alone.....
Get them while there in the creek.......

Dale......Jump on Google maps and type in Dock Road Forked River........You will see a very large area off dock road along the river in bright white....Thats it.
You can also see the entire creek and the mouth going into the bay.......Google maps or google earth are 2 great ways of finding new spots to fish with a yak.

I think it is Dock avenue off of Bay parkway. RT 9 left onto Bay straight onto Dock ave. I think that was just built last year. I think this is the place your are referring to.

Dale to make it easy, once you pass the Oyster Creek power plant go south to the first traffic light. Turn left and follow that road and keep bearing left when you can. Look for a park on your left and pull into the parking area. Great spot and the facilities are new and clean.
Happy Catching
