Title: 5/10 fishing
Post by: Takes Prizoners on May 10, 2013, 06:41:06 PM
started around 10 to fish the outgoing. 1st spot, nada. cruised down 36. stopped next at asbury park. some nice babes in bikinis but not much in the way of fishing.  then further south to manasquan inlet. got lucky with a parking space.  1st glance at the water and saw something pop out of the water.  maybe a dolphin? pulled the rod out got a couple 3-5lb blues on a red tailed 007.  didn't see anything else going on either side.  all the action must have been at the mouth of the inlet.  the headboats were dancing around right there.  packed up and went to mantoloking bridge.  Threw the entire bag and got nothing.  guys that were crabbing only caught 1.  If this were FL, we'd be knee deep in mahi mahi with all the debris I saw in the water.  Was going to go more south but traffic was f'd up so called it a day.

I usually cover a lot more on a trip.  I skipped the raritan bay area since I fished SH last week.  between the streets still closed from the storm and the traffic on 35 south, I missed out checking a couple new to me spots.
