Was out at it again this past weekend down at Oyster Creek.......The weather reports where for showers until early Sunday morning...Wrong!!!!!!
Was on the water by 2:30am when the rain started to come down so hard that I couldn't see anything around me but water....This was my first time being in a rain storm in the yak.....Crazy how the rain looks hitting the water when your sitting in the kayak.
Fished until 7:30 and had drifted out the creek and into the bay......All that time.....All that rain.....Not a fish or a hit the entire night....Still had a blast being on the water kayak fishing.

The weather was not the problem for me.....What was the problem is all that water running out of the creek does cause one nasty rip current at the mouth which just pulls you right out into open bay...
Then while I'm being pulled out backwards and the rain was coming down.....The kayak smacked into one of those green channel markers....Talk about a wake up call.....What a sound that makes in the kayak.....Felt like a pin ball machine.
Bottom line is......I'm in the kayak because I love it.....I love the feeling of being that close to the water.....And the action of the fish next to the yak.

Yeah, zero visibility alwas gives me the creeps. Not because I can't see, I just want to be seen by someone flying through in a 30 footer. I try to stay out of the channels at that point, but I like fishing the shelves. Hope no damage from hitting that marker.
